Bridging Science and
Mathematics Through
Robotics and Technology

Lego Robotics

Grades 4th through 6th

"Guides youth through STEM learning and exploration at an early age. From Discover, to Explore, and then to Challenge, students will understand the basics of STEM and apply their skills in an exciting competition while building habits of learning, confidence, and teamwork skills along the way." - FIRST

Grades 7th through 8th
"VEX IQ is based on plastic, snap-together pieces specifically designed to build highly functional robots. This system doesn’t require any prior knowledge in robotics. Students can easily build their first robot, and the wide variety of additional parts means that they can build anything they imagine as they continue to learn. Every kit includes a hand tool to make assembly and disassembly easy for small hands." - VEX

Grades 7th through 12th
Our Java club meets on Thursday evenings starting on September 11, 2024. This new version of our club is open to students from 7th through 12th grade. We will meet every Thursday from 6:30 until 8:00PM. Similar to our robotics sessions this is an open ended club session where new members can join and depart on any given month (no long term commitment). It is highly recommended that each member brings their own laptop. The membership is limited  to 8 participants.

First Tech Challenge

Grades 9th through 12th
"FIRST Tech Challenge students learn to think like engineers. Teams design, build, and code robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Robots are built from a reusable platform, powered by Android technology, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming." - FIRST
